The usage of asynchrous network cosing is perticulary necessory if you want to use network for planning, not only cost but also payments.

Please refer this link for details

Hi,

You can use the asynchronous network costing to:

1. Update the network costing

2. Reproduce plan payment data in Project Cash Management

3. Have the system value configurable materials per the configuration settings entered

4. Refresh the purchase info record data for goods and services procured externally

You can run the asynchronous network costing for one or more networks at any time, regardless of the costing in network maintenance. For networks, the credit-side payment plan is determined using the asynchronous network costing only.Overhead and process costs are also included as part of network maintenance

In integrated project management, plan costs are first calculated using valuation rates or the prices for internal and external activities and the required operating resources. In networks, you plan services, internally/externally processed work, and the required resources in network activities. The system then calculates the plan costs, taking account of the dates. The cost determination is based on the quantities and prices stored in the system.

The planned costs are distributed over time, based on the distribution over time of the activities and operating resources planned in the activity
