What types of backend systems are involved (mainframe, SAP, etc.) for xi project?

Hi,

You can use any type of Back ground systems to interact with XI system.

Either it might be Mainframe, MQserver, DAtabase system and etc.

All these systems will use the Adapters to connect XI system.

Hi,

XI can communicate with mainframes (through mainframe adapter) or through a JMS Adapter running MQ Series on a mainframe system.

XI can communicate with AS400, SQL server systems, SAP systems (IDocs , RFC), file systems and edifact systems.
