SAP - BO Single Sign On

Former Member

All,

We have integrated SAP - BO XI 3.0 through SAP BO integration kit. After this in BO CMC:

1) Configured SAP database

2) Imported roles and users from SAP

3) Opened Infoview in a browser with SAP user name where authentication as SAP.

My questions: Is this known as Single Sign On between BO and SAP? Or do we need to configure SNC for SSO?

Thanks

Jai

Hi Jai,

SSO can be done in multiple ways:

- You can use the SAP Credentials with InfoView

- you can use SAP SSO tickets from the portal or any other app

- you can use SNC as well

Thanks Ingo. We have completed point 1 you have mentioned.

We could able to login infoview with SAP credentails.

My question : Can we call this as SSO between BO and SAP database ?

In future, we would like to go with SAP portal also. But at this time we like to finish the SSO between BO and SAP.

Thanks

Jai

Hi Jay,

SSO is often referred to just the workflow that you can logon once and then view the report with data.

yes - you can use the portal to achieve that as well

Hi Ingo,

I have done the SAP integration install for BO and configured the SAP authentication. In my InfoView I can logon using SAP or AD or Enterprise Authentication. Can I be able to combine them? Like if I use AD authentication and have a Alias that of SAP then, Can I get authenticated to both at the same time like a SSO. And how to do it

Please advice

HI,

that is possible with SNC. You can check the SAP documentation for the details
