SAP ERP 6.0 SR3. Does the application server needs to be at the same SR sta

I have an ECC 6.0 system (however I do not know which SR). Now I would like to add an application server. I do not have media for installation.

The only thing I can currently order is SAP ERP 6.0 SR3. Does the application server needs to be at the same SR status as existing central instance? Where (with which SP ) SR3 starts?

I have to be more precise. I am not speaking about cluster but additional dialog instance.

Which packages I should have installed (e.g up to SAPKA70014 etc) in order to have SR3

As far as I know, in dialog instance the installation won´t have nothing to do with SP (just DB client) but with kernel versions and in 6.0 if configured like it is by default, dialog instances will get the Kernel from the CI when connecting.

SP's are loaded into the DB and Dialog instances just access the main database for the SAP system CI they are serving.

DI connects to CI and both to the same DB but CI acts as the main instance that controls DI configuration and work.

For sure you need the same SR in all of the same cluster.

The installation should tell you however if this is the case.
