Smartform generates large file attachment

Hello Everybody,

I am having the following issue... I have created a Smartform (one page) and when I email it as a PDF attachment the size of the e-mail is over 400K, which in our case generates and issue because of the number of e-mails that we are sending.

Is there any way to decrease the size of the PDF file that is being generated from Smartforms?

The SMARTFORM has a logo and shading etc Then size is tend to increase.

You can use compression utility Zipping the file before sending the battement, in case the email program is custom one.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am sending using a custom "Z" program that calls Smartform function module. I have tried to remove a bitmap and shaded areas from the form - did not make any difference. Can you ZIP attachment programatically in ABAP?
