Va01 order type (access to CR and DR only)

We want to limit access to order type CR or DR only when user starts VA01

If I go to v_vbak_aat and I give the user access to CR and DR only this would work for us.

Thanks

Joe

Dear Friend,

You can definitely restrict a end-user to only one Sales Document type thru Authorizations.

This can be done thru authorization management. Consult your Basis person or follow this:

SU01 - Enter the user Id & select display button. Now click on the Roles Tab & note down the role assigned to this user Id.

Go to T-Code - PFCG - enter the Role name & select the change icon.

Click on the Authorizations tab page. & then Click on Change Authorization Data.

Now expand the menu tree of Sales & Distribution & further expand the menu tree of Sales Document: Authorization for Sales Document Types. Now click on the change icon next to Sales Document Type & select the required Sales Document type that you want to authoriza the end-use.

This is how you can give authorizations only for a particular Sales Document type.

Hope this helps.. .

Give point if useful...

Thanks,

Hi Joe

If you want to limit the access to CR or DR order types only when the user creates VA01 then make sure that you have not assigned any sales document type to your sales area in OVAZ .Then when the user creates VA01 with any other document type also , the user can enter , as the system throws error

I agree with Sri. This would not only limit the user's access, but also limit the document types available to choose from in the drop down. By limiting through authorizations only, the users would have to know which order type to use and search through the long list of available types.

However, by assigning order types to Sales Areas, you are assuming that the user enters the sales area data first - this is needed to limit the available order types. If the Sales area data is blank, the drop down will contain the full list of order types. Then an error message will occur when they pick the slaes area data that is not assigned to the order type in config. You may want to consider adding the Sales Area data to the user's parameter IDs so that it defaults for them.
