Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Hi Tirumal,
try to substitue servername in browser adress with IP. If success, than may be customize your hosts file with full qualified name.
Next try tp ping IP adress. If no success, than you are in the wrong network or something went wrong during installation/configuration of XI. Try transaction SLDCHECK, if you dont have success, tell it your basis team. It should work.

Udo

Both of your topics will be helpful once i get the XI home page which is the actual problem.
I am not able to see the main XI home page where in you have the IR/IB and other XI tools.
Any ideas?

Hi Tirumal,
Just see if the problem is with your JAVA Webstart...if so the info below should help you,
If you have some problem with your java webstart, please see if any of these information will help you in any ways.
Some probable steps that you can try doing are:
- It is recommended to have a minimum of JRE 1.4.2 or higher. But its better not to have JRE 1.5 and above as it has been noticed to throw errors.
- To avoid auto updates of J2SE to higher versions go to the control panel and open the Java Plug In icon. Browse to the update panel and uncheck the checkbox for Check for Updates Automatically.
- Open Web Start and go to Preferences. In the General tab you will find 3 radio buttons for proxies. Select the None option.
- Try clearing the cache folder Java Web Start>File>Preferences>Advanced>Clear Folder and then try downloading the jar files again.

abhy
