Dear Friends,
Related to SAP R/3 ECC 6.0
I would like to add two parameter in table BWOM_SETTINGS for Minute based extraction
enhancement for FI related data extractors.
i check this scanario in my development system. and now i want to move these values
from development system to production system through quality.
But as per my knowledge we can not transport table values from Dev to Qas and Prd.
and we should manually enter the parameters in production system instead of transporting from Dev.
if my understanding is true then it can create inconsistancies between Prod and Dev server.
becuase incase somebody did change in PRD and forget the Dev.
any help higly appriciated.
Malik
Hi Malik,
As BWOM_SETTINGS is a table with Maintenance allowed you can manually create the Entries in Quality and then in Production.
Go to TxCode Se11.
Enter the table name.Select Display button.
Go to Utilities>Table Contents>Create Entries.
Specify the values of DataSource and Fieldname.
Then click on RESET button.
By this way you can make your values.
Let me know if you face any problem.
Thanks,
Sudheer.

Dear Sudheer,
basically BWOM_SETTINGS table is a standard SAP table for SAP BW customization.
there are some standard values but i want to change some functionality of BW extractor behaviour.
For this we need to add two parameter in this table and i dont want to add these two values
directly in the production server. i want to change the values in development server and then
move these parameters values from dev to prod through the transport management system.
regards,
Malik
Hi,
Ok, when you in the table maintenance screen (through SE16) in the development system and you made all your changes.
1.Select the entries you would like transport.
2. From the menu "Table Entry" -> Transport Entries.
It prompts for a transport request and specify the transport# and you all set.
you can verify the transport thru se10 for contents.
Hope this helps,
Kalyan.
Hi,
You should be able to transport the table entries, in this case BWOM_SETTINGS table --> from Table Browser (se16) you can move the all the entries to a transport request and move to the next system in the landscape.
Hope this helps.
Kalyan.
