Logon to SAP from MacBook

Good morning all. I have a Macook running MacOS X Ver. 10.5.6 I have allready install sapgui for Java. Since I not an expert Mac user I am facing problems login to SAP. From Windows I loged in without any problem using direct connection to to IP of the Server which is 10.0.0.6 and giving the system number and system name.

Allthoght i am connected to the SAP server when i try to login to SAP i get this error.

java.lang.Exception: Error: hostname 'sapprod64' unknown Mon Jan 12 12:15:13 2009

Edit the connection settings, on Advanced tab check Expert mode, type the following and save

conn=/H/10.0.0.6/S/3200&fast=true

where 3200 is the default port, if it uses another port get help from your basis guys.

Thanks for the advice i found the port was something else. Now I don't get any error back but i don't get the first screen to put user name and password.

What do you get then ? Balance Loading or Saprouter may require change in connection string. You may search for sap gui java expert mode to find best solution fit with yours.

make sure that you have JRE from SUN installed on your MAC.

He has already running the Sap logon. Read it carefully or do not mass.

I still can't solve the problem I tried everything with no result the system seems that find the SAP server but i don't get the first screen.

If you have ITS webgui you may try to access from browser as a temporary solution. [http://10.0.0.6:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?|http://10.0.0.6:8000/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?] change the ITS port 8000.
