password sysncronization between portal and ECC

Hi Expert,

I have SSO between Portal and ECC and it is working fine.

Both the systm portal and ecc has same user id with diffrent password.

I want to do password sysncronization on both the system.

please help me.

One common solution is to use the ECC system as UME (user management engine) of the portal. In this case you have only one user, thus always the same passwords. This is a simple way to have the user synced.

Alternatively you can have a ldap directory to administrate the users and connect the ECC and portal to the ldap.

If you have SSO why do you want to sync passwords?... they'll never need the password for the backend.
