list of ports accessed NW MOBILE 7.1 like 3300 from NWDS

Hi,

I was looking out for some information. basically a comprehensive list of the input/output ports for DOE NW MOBILE 7.1.

Thing is i am operating in a firewall based enviroment. So we need to know which ports to give access to so as to gain access from different enviroments like NWDS requires port 3300 to connect to DOE and similarly regular ports used are 3200 -3299 for SAP GUI and 8000 for http connectivity.

Could some one please let us know any other ports that are required for the same.

I would be highly obliged if you could do the needful at the earliest.

Dear Srikumar,

You need to have the following ports open for proper functioning of DOE in firewall environment ( I have configured the following ports in our server based on requirements):

SAP Message Server ports - 3600,3601

SAP DOE /ABAP http port - 8000 or 80 (or whatever ABAP http port you have configured).

SAP Gateway ports : 3300,3301

SAP dp00 and dp 99 - 3200, 3299

Sometimes required - SAP host control ports - 1128, 1129

Hi

Had one more question. what is the message server port used for ? DO we need it? Which enviroment would access the message port. Like NWDS accesses 3300 and 3301 as u mentioned.

Dear Srikumar,

The mesaage port is one of the most important communication of the SAP server to the outside world. Most of the SAP front end utilities directly/indirectly use the port to access the services of the server.
