Securing credit card account numbers in SAP

Hi Experts,

Objective

To activate the standard SAP functionality for securing credit account numers in SAP ERP 6.0

Environment

SAP ERP 6.0 Support Package Stack 14

Oracle 10g

AIX 5.3

Action

Followed the notes

1) 633462 :Encryption credit data

2) 662340 : SSF Encryption Using the SAPCrytolib

3) 397175 : SAP Cryptographic Software - Export control

Problem

1. Note 633462 and 662340 is applicable only upto ECC 5.0, so looking for suitable note to do SSF Encrytion Using thr SAPCrytolib in ECC 6.0.

2. The SAP Cryptographic Software available at market place as per note 39175 is valid only upto AIX 5.2 , BUT need software for AIX 5.3.

The SSF kernel interface has been stable for a long time, so both notes and software will work for ECC 6.0.

Seems like the notes (see above) should be updated.

Don`t worry: if a feature was available in a previous version, it will still be working in a subsequent version - at least in the vast majority of all cases.
