Hi,

We have implementing seperate SLD's for our Dev, QA and Production (PID,PIQ and PIP). We have implemented CTS+ to move all PI transports and will be moving all SLD related to objects through CTS. CTS is working ok but our question is as mentioned below:

1. Business Systems - We have PID (DEV) business system in Development environment. We would like to transport Business system as well through CTS+. Where do we need to create business system for PIQ and PIP (QA and PRD).

I believe we need technical system for creating business systems which will not be available Dev SLD for QA and Production servers.

2. Do we need transport group for Local SLD's?

Your quick help will me much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks,

Miral.

Hi Miral,

To My understanding for SLD Preparation we need to do the following

In SLD (Dev)

1) You would have created IS of your DEV XI .

2) Assign all Bussiness System to this IS of DEV XI. ( All these fall in One Group say : DEV)

3) Now in DEV SLD itself create a IS of QA XI server.

4) Create BS in DEV SLD naming with repect to our QA SLD which needs to be maintained.(Fall under Group QA)

5) Now Select BS of DEV under the tab "Transport" give the QA / PROD and name the BS of QA

6) By Doing so all CC of Dev BS will get affected to BS of QA / PROD when transported to SLD.

7) In QA SLD we need to just maintain the IS of DEV / QA XI server.

😎 Now transport the SLD Content.

Hope this gives you outline

Hi,

in SLD of your XI PRD system - in Business System, in group, click new and create groups for QA and PRD having references to IE of QA and PRD............then export all your TS and BS of QA in a file from QA SLD and import it in PRD SLD..........then in PRD SLD, for the TS create BS for PRD and then in BS of QA define transport target to BS of PRD...............

then you can transport your QA ID content to your XI PRD system.

Hi

Can you confirm the correctness of the Steps.

1) Production System --> QA / PROD (Group) --> Define Corresponding IE

Defining Corresponding IE means --> Technical System ( XIQ / XIP).

2) Qulaity System ---> QA / PROD (Group) --> Define Corresponding IE

Defining Corresponding IE means --> Technical System ( XIQ / XIP).

3) Define for each Business System in QA --> Create Transport (Source - QA --> Target - PRD)

Now export QA (XIQ) SLD ---> Import to PRD (XIP).

Hope : No need to maintain the Transport type in PRD as below

(Source - QA --> Target - PRD)

Hi,

1) Production System --> QA / PROD (Group) --> Define Corresponding IE

Defining Corresponding IE means --> Technical System ( XIQ / XIP) - means Integration Server QUA in TS of QUA.

2) Qulaity System ---> QA / PROD (Group) --> Define Corresponding IE

Defining Corresponding IE means --> Technical System ( XIQ / XIP) - means Integration Server PRD in TS of PRD.

3) Define for each Business System in QA --> Create Transport (Source - QA --> Target - PRD)

Now export QA (XIQ) SLD ---> Import to PRD (XIP) - Yes

Hope : No need to maintain the Transport type in PRD as below

(Source - QA --> Target - PRD) - No need for this thing
