Sales uom Vs Pricing Uom control

Hai Gurus,

In sale order material having sales unit 100 Feet , but in Pricing condition user made a mistake 1 EA = 100 Rs(but actual is 1feet = 100 Rs. That material having alternate uom conversion. 10 Feet = 1 Ea. So, system automatically convert the wrong calculation(ie.10 Rs).

Is it possible to stop sales uom differ from Pricing Uom.

Dear Udayakumar

Go to VK12, input the pricing condition and execute. There mark for deletion and save. Again go to VK11, input pricing condition type and maintain the pricing for 1 feet and save.

Now go to sale order and assign Reason for Rejection for that line item. Create a new line item below this and see how the condition flows.

The solution given by you is to manually identify the mistake and correcting it. But what I am expecting is to prevent this automatically by the system itself using any exits / routines / IMG settings.

are you sure that the error occured

when you maintain proper alternate unit of measures...the system will take care of ..please check again

Dear Guru

System automatically converts , but its wrong. for example

Actual Price 1 Feet = 100 INR But user maintained 1 Ea = 100 INR. Alternative Conversion is 10 feet = 1 Ea.

In sales order we have given 10 Feet. My required price is 10 x 100 = 1000 INR , but system takes 100 INR ( Based on alternative UOM).

This is purely user mistake. How can we prevent like this type of error.

Hi Udaykumar

As you are telling 1 Feet = 100 INR but the end user maintained 1EA = 100INR. So in MMR->basic data1 ->click on additional data ->click on UoM there you change it the UoM as 1Ea = 10feet

As far as price is concerned check in VK12 what you have given for the material EA or Feet , Assuming that you have given EA. So when you create a sales order then go to item data->conditions tab-> Manually change the Uom to Feet , If you want to calculate the price in feet only

If you want to stop the sales UoM then in pricing condition type details V/06 maintain the UoM feild as per you requirement . Then the problem will be solved.

So as per your query , in V/06 maintain UoM feild and maintain EA . then when you create the sales order, then system will calculate price on EA.

Thanks for your reply, We are not using Ea is constantly, it is vary depends on material to material.In this case , how can we control between Sale order Uom and Condition Record Uom.
