Unit costing

Hi Guys,

Can you suggest about the applicability of unit costing during cost planning phase of the project.?

It requires masters to be created for service,material,activities etc.

In case of Unit costing date relevency will not be there..( if you preferr unit costing in CJ40) and if you preferr UT in CJ20N it is there since that cost will come in network costing... so, in case of network costing date relevancy is there.

for material, activities, services, info records should be aviailable for UT... but in some scenario we may not no the cost of perticular activity / material / service at that time you can use variable item and can plan cost manually as per recieved quotations from vendors,or based on your previous experience.....

you can use operative indicators effectively..... just Explore yoursself/.....

Unit costing is useful when you want to track plan costs with relevence to dates. you need to configure materials/services etc and system would pick up the prices from its masters when u do the unit cost planning
