How to reopen a assets fiscal year which was closed by mistake

Here we are stuck in a situation where one of my consultants close assets fiscal year by using the Tcode AJAB (which is not suppose to be done till march 2009)

what should be the possible remedy to reopen the closed fiscal year

Pls give us some inputs so as to reopen the fiscal year of the assets

Transfer date 01.04.2023 is more than one year after the closed fiscal year.

Diagnosis

Your specification for the legacy data transfer date 01.04.2023 is more

than one year after the last closed fiscal year 2021. You can only

transfer legacy asset data at the end of the last closed fiscal year, or

using a date during the fiscal year in the fiscal year following the

last closed fiscal year.

Procedure

Correct your entries.

Hi experts,

i have created asset on 2004 and i have done the acquisition with testing purpose, after that i have not used that asset and company code also. Now i have reconfigure all data and created new assets in 2022 while doing depreciation run system is asking to reopen the 2004 fiscal year. how can i open 2004 fiscal year and run the depreciation for 2022.

Dear Expert,

There is a chance to post in a closed Asset Fiscal Year ex 2021

While you already have 2 open Asset Fiscal Year, such as:

- 2022

- 2023

Is a customer business requirement to transfer value in Asset during 2021 and run depreciation's, while we have open 2022 and 2023.

There is a work around since only 2 asset fiscal year permit the system

Alternatively, go to following path

IMG > Financial Accounting (New) > Asset Accounting > Preparing for Production Startup > Tools > Reset Year-End Closing

Please specify how to make changes OAAQ, so as to reopen the closed fiscal year

since it is a production issue, we are facing lot of pressure from our management

Hi,

First of all i would like to share something about it.

Using this function, you can re-open the last closed fiscal year, either for selected depreciation areas in a company code, or for all depreciation areas in a company code. You do this by changing the field for the last closed fiscal year.

Go to OAAQ, if you have closed the Fiscal Year 2008 then Entry will be as follow.

Company Code Closed Fiscal year

XXXX 2008

You can change it to year 2007 and save it so that year 2008 will be opened up.
