Advantages of the "SAP FRONTEND INSTALLATION SERVER":

1. central tool for administrating all tasks of the Distribution "SAP GUI for windows" in the entire company

2. patches can be automatically distributed from this source onto each client

3. a service which automatically assigns administrator authorizations is integrated.

This service is called "LSH - Local Security Handling"

( see chapter 3.8 in the Frontend Installation Guide, - compilation 3 )

1. a service which will update automatically the workstation(s) and reboot them if necessary.

This Service is called "SAP Automatic Workstation Update"

( see chapter 3.9 in the Frontend Installation Guide, - compilation 3 )

1. remotely access and control workstations

( see chapter 3.10 in the Frontend Installation Guide, - compilation 3 )

All advantages or functionality are described in the chapter 1.3( General Features Overview) of
