Failed message due mapping error is being retried again and again

Hi All,

We are facing a small issue, i.e when a message fails in IE due to mapping error. The message keeps retring to execute over and over at a interval of 10 mins.

Is there a configuration parameter which could have been set that causes a failed message to retry after certian interval.

do you have the background job RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES

scheduled ?

Yes we figured out that RSXMB_RESTART_MESSAGES job was on.

Yes, there is one setting in Visual Admin, because of which xi tries to resend the message into queue 3 times after an interval of default value 10 mins. you can check it in VA-SERVICES-SAP XI ADAPTER-XI--RETRY INTERVAL and also NO. of RETRIES.

Hi,

Check the processing parameters in sender communication channel.

polling interval

and if processing mode is Test ( File adapter) it will keep on picking the file.

As far as I know, there is no setting for Retrying (Resending) a failed message due to mapping error.

Are you sure that it is a mapping error. Could you post the Error message from SXMB_MONI.
