Can DMS be used for linking documents to deliveries? If not, is there another solution that can do this?

Hi,

Documents can be linked/integrated with other modules and its application through object linking.

Thank You,

Yes, it can be used, but its NOT the correct place for it. That is why all the external scanning applications to SAP use ArchiveLink.

You need to set up the document type in OAC2 along with the associated file format. Then you need to configure the object it should be stored against using OAD5.

There should be an archivelink repository created before the above is possible.

If you are talking about signed delivery notes, a module called ArchiveLink (Document archiving) is the correct solution. See transactions OAC2, OAC3, OAD5 and OAWD.
