Hi,

I generated web service from RFC in ECC 6.0 system. I tested web service but it did not run.

Must we activate ICF service? How?

Or what must I do to do web service operable?

Just goto TCODE - SE38 and run program - RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES

SXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES

some ICF service must be inactive

Activating ICF service is a generic requirement.

Check SAP Note 750287

Hi,

RSXMB_ACTIVATE_ICF_SERVICES will activate a whole bunch of HTTP services in SICF.

For example XI/PI services which are NOT need for web services.

IMHO, it is necessary from a security point of view to know which specific HTTP services are needed for a specific use and to activate only those...

Hi Cemil Bozlagan,

Goto Transaction SICF where services are maintained.

Select Hierarchy Type as Service (default is Service) and Execute.

then goto the Path /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/ and check whether the respective services are active or not.
