Java support packs for BW 3.5 installation

Hi Basis Gurus,

We are planning to install BW 3.5 Support packs along with Java support packs.Please let me know that path in service market place from where can i download Java Support Packs.

I have tried to find out in service market place but i am not getting it.

Our is BW 3.5 system with Solaris 5.9 OS and Oracle 9i database.

Please help me.

Hi Anil,

Please follwow steps of service market place to find java support packs for BW 3.5

On service market place go to -- Support packages and patches

--> Entry by application

--> SAP Netweaver

--> SAP Netweaver 04

-->Support pack stack

--> Support pack stack

download the stack you will get the java support pack inside it.

Hi Atil,

Thanks for your support.

Our BW 3.5 system is currently having SAP_BW support pack level is SAPKW35012 and SAP_BASIS support pack level is SAPKB64012.We have to bring the level Basis and BW support pack level to 21.

1) Please let me know how can find the current Java support pack in BW 3.5 system.Is there any tcode for finding the current java support pack.

2) I have downloaded the Java Support pack from CTRLORA13_0-20000121.SAR to CTRLORA21_0-20000121.SAR.Please let me know whether the Java Support Pack i have downloded is ok.

3) I have not applied Java support pack in any of my earlier project.Please let me know how to apply java support pack.

It is a Java system - there is no transaction code - call the following URL and you get the needed information.

http://<HOST>:<PORT>/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo

??? You need to check if the java support pack is compatible with the ABAP stack, etc.

You need the JSPM - please check the documentation for handling this:

Hello Stefan, you are not correct ... since BW 3.5 are on 6.40 the JAVA part are patching using

Software Delivery Manager (SDM) or sapinst. Read in links belove how you can do it Anil Shenoy.

P.S. you need to check document :

ah ok ) i am sorry, we only have 7.00 Java systems so i don't know that.
