Smartforms - Window xxx inserted message

We have a rather large smartform with many many pages, windows, etc. When we go into this smartform in change mode, and expand the windows list in the left-side control panel the windows will suddenly re-arrange and we get the message 'Window xxx inserted' at the bottom of the screen. The end result is a window that is out of place - randomly re-arranged in the list.

The error has been very intermittent and we have not been able to tie it to a specific GUI, pc setting, user id, action or even day of the week! It may not happen when user enters change mode this time but will happen the next time and then not on the third time in.

Has anyone else ever seen this behavior? Any suggestions appreciated!

Hi,

Yes we have also experienced the same many times.

Reason could be that sometimes the mouse cursor moves randomly to some undesired locations and when we hold the left button to select a node or window to expand, the mouse cursor moves to another one without our notice and finally leads to an unnecessary shifting of windows or nodes to another location as a result we get a message in the status bar.

Hence one has to be very alert to notice those messages in the status bar and quickly have to come out of the change mode without saving otherwise it would lead to a rework.

Another suggestion is to make sure your observe carefully the mouse cursor before you select a node or a window.

Apart from these observations i would also like to suggest to make use of keyboard mostly to be on the safer side.
