LDAP - UME Displayname

Hi all,

First thanks for helping!

We have a WAS6.20 running where the users are pulled from an LDAP server. The problem is the that we have multiple users with the same displayname so when we do a search on a specific username we often get 10-20 results. It is very difficult for a normal user to find out which user to select and even an expirenced user have to drill down on each user to find out which one is correct.

Are there a way to also include the UID (user-id) to the displayname?

I know that it is possible to change the displayname to the UID, but it would be very nice to just append the UID to the normal displayname.

Kris,

You should be able to modify the appearance of the display name. Take a look here:

Modify the property ume.users.displayname_template to include the variable.
