Installation Error

Hi All,

As a part of restoring the old database, we are installing SAP 4.6C on windows 2003.

While execution of R/3 setup files we are getting the following error:

ERROR 2009-01-07 00:50:00 CDINSTEXTRACTSAPMMCMSC_NT_IND InstallationDo:0

Phase failed.

ERROR 2009-01-07 00:50:00 InstController Action:0

Step CDINSTEXTRACTSAPMMCMSC_NT_IND could not be performed.

ERROR 2009-01-07 00:50:00 Main

Installation failed.

ERROR 2009-01-07 00:50:00 Main

Installation aborted.

can anybody advise us quickly.

We have installed the NT patches also.

For 4.6C installation we need to set up the Env. Variables correctly.

Make sure the username doing the install has full Administrator rights on the Windows box. If you are actually doing this from a CD, copy the CD to the hard drive first and run it from there.

The problem is with Env. Variable settings.
