could you please help me with the transaction code to change the printer name for the output determination for a specific document type

Use the TCode : SPAD " Spool administration.
like:
Output Devices: TEST
DEV. TYPE: SWIN
Spool Servers: As per your req
Access Methods: L
Destination Host: As per your req
Host Printer: As per your req
Access Methods based on your requirement,
C Direct operating system call
E External output management system
F Printing on Front End Computer
G Front End Printing with Control Tech.
I Archiving Device
L Print Locally Using LP/LPR
M E-Mail to Receiver/Owner
P Device pool
S Print Using SAP Protocol
U Print Using Berkeley Protocol
X SAPcomm
Z User-Defined Formatting Routine (Old)

please use
Using the Transaction SPAD create an new "device" i.e.
ZLOC (Local Printer).
Using the following settings:
Device Attributes...
Device Type: "SAPWIN"
Device Class: "Standard Printer"
Access Method...
Host Spool Access Method: "F" (= Printing on Frontend)
Host Printer: "__DEFAULT"
That should work if you'll have the SAPLPD installed on your frontend !!
The SAPLPD automatically installes with a full SAPGUI-Installation.
The outpout is printed to your frontend default printer.
