Hi WM Experts,

Can we issue the consignment stock directly from the bin to the production supply area?

If so what are all the settings required to execute the same.

Thanks / Karthik

A wide range of J.I.T and Kanban solutions are available form a basic single bin feed system to stores or shop floor, to two or three bin Linefeed systems (direct to line-side supply) and consignment stock to stores or secure area.

Engineering Services applies its knowledge and expertise in assessing customer needs, and recommending one of the following Supply Solutions.

Single Bin System

One of the most simple and effective Just-in-Time systems recommended by Engineering Services is a single bin system installed on the customer's premises.

Using the customers existing bins or bins supplied by us they can be situated in the stores, on the shop floor, or directly beside the production lines.

A maximum stock quantity is agreed for each bin, a representative of Engineering Services will call to monitor stock levels at regular intervals. If any bin is low, we top it up within 24 hours to the agreed maximum stock level. Goods will be advised and invoiced on despatch.

Two Bin System

An identical set of bins for each part is installed on the customers premises, one bin in use the other in reserve. We agree the maximum stock quantity required to service your requirements.

At regular intervals a representative will call to monitor stock levels. If any bin is below the maximum it is replenished within 24 hours, as this is a two-bin system the customer should always have at least one bin full of each part.

We invoice either monthly or on despatch, the system is flexible and the variances of our visits will depend on the amount of stockholding you wish to carry.

CONSIGNMENT STOCK

Usually supplied to stores or a secure area in box quantities, Tell us your anticipated monthly usage of each part and we will supply sufficient for at least 6-8 weeks use but not invoice you until you use it!

Our representative will visit at agreed intervals to monitor and replenish the stock and ensure sufficient quantities are available for even exceptional usage. We invoice you for the goods that have been used at the end of each month

Thanks and regards...
