do i really need to patch

hi,

i have xi 3.0 on was 6.40 sr1 abap+java. Do i really need to patch it up to SP14 etc as the process is very cumbersome. Shall i wait for some problem to appear till i patch or is it recommended to patch the system soon after the installation?

please advise.

hi Shobhit,

YES. you have to Patch it up ASAP. otherwise certain post installation procedures can't be carried out. For EG: in my case i had to schedule certain background jobs but i couldn't find those relevant reports because i was running it in SP09. so i had to upgrade it to SP14 to carry out those upgrades.

its better to upgrade to continue your work. the trouble is worth it.

Hello Shobhit,

I totaly agree with Arunkumar.

It is highly important that you patch it up to SP14 and bare in mind that XI 3.0 must have the highest patch in the hole landscape.
