Web Dynpro explorer

Recently i downloaded sap netweaver 7.0 and installed it on my system. everything was working fine.

Then suddenly an error occurs related with memory.

after that i closed the studio.

after that when i open it web dynpro explorer was missing.

i tried to find the web dynpro explorer window, but it was not there.

can anybody help???

Hi Sarbjeet,

Even if you start eclipse.exe, it takes the same workspace for which the metadata has got corrupted.

Go to your workspace folder (C:/Program Files/SAP/IDE/IDE70/eclipse/workspace/ for you) and delete the metadata folder (just take a backup) and restart the IDE using NWDS exe (it may take some time to start)

If this does not work, start the IDE in a new workspace.

Check the space in the c drive. there is some 300 mb minimum required to run NWDS. Check that in net.

Hi Sarbjeet,

Since your IDE (NWDS) closed due to a crash (memory issue), it causes corruption of your workspace.

You can either restart the IDE with a fresh workspace or delete the metadata folder in your workspace.

(can keep a backup of this)

Actually while trying to run IDE i m getting an error saying that

"problem occured during startup. check .log file in the .metadata directory of your work space".

So, instead of using the sap netweaver i was running the eclipse.exe in that i m getting the above problem of not finding the web dynpro explorer.

earlier eclipse was working fine.

can anybody please help regarding this issue?

Hi Sarbjeet,

Try this,

Window->open perspective->other and select Web Dynpro

Window->show view->other and select the Web Dynpro folder and Web Dynpro explorer in that.

Hi Sarbjeet,

have you followed the below points:-

1. Click on Window->Open Persepective->Others it conatins all the persepective NWDS has.

Also if still not working then uninstall and then install the NWDS again .

it will certainly help.

If you are stll not getting web dynpro explorer then

1. click on Others there check if web dynpro explorer is there or not.

2. if you find it then select it and click on Ok

Go to Windows-> open perspective-> web dynpro

In NWDS, go to the Window tab-> Open perspective and select Web Dynpro.

And, Window-> Show view and select Web Dynpro explorer.

Hi,

As said above if you are not finding webdynpro in show view and go for others (at botom) then you will see dialog containing all perspectives. Search for webdynpro and select.
