Update Solution Manager SP15 to EHP1 (SP18) : ST-ICO 150 Update

Dear Experts,

I have installed a Solution Manager 7.0 SP15 on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition 64 bits + MS SQL and i would like to update my Solution Manager whitch is in SP15 to SP18 (EHP1). I Already set up Maintenance Optimizer. Currently, i am using the "Installation Guide of the SAP EnHancement Package 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0". In the preparation, first of all, i have to update the ST-ICO 150 whitch is SP13 into SP15 minimum. I already downloaded the ST-ICO 150 SP15, 16 and 17 via the Maintenance Optimizer.

Now my question is: How to update the ST-ICO 150 component via the "SAINT" T-Code? Do i have to update the SPAM/SAINT version first? If yes, i also already downloaded the last SPAM/SAINT version via Maintenance Optimizer and how to update it via the "SAINT" T-Code?

Hi,

Please follow this URL before you start applying new support packages.

https://service.sap.com/sp-stacks > Solution Manager 7.0 > A new browser window will open.

In the newly opened window.

For Step 1.

Provide the Target Stack Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 SP18

& Source Stack - 15(01/2008) Released

Step 2. Select the combination of your OS DB with Hardware.

Step 3. It will display the list of all the required components. Add them into your download basket and start downloading.

Always remember, before applying any new Support Package or Add-on, you have to update you SPAM / SAINT. To do so, select the latest version of SPAM available and update it.

Then proceed with other patching process.

thank you for replying. That's what i have done. I already have downloded the SP18 Component but before applying those SP Package, i have to update the saint/spam version + ST-ICO 150 version in SP 15 at least (see installation guide of SAP Enhancement Package 1 for sap solution manager 7.0)

i would like to know how to update my spam/saint version + ST-ICO 150 version.

Any ideas are welcomed

Some errors occurs via the Maintenance Optimizer: Some files are ONLY Partially Downloaded and cannot be downloaded. This problem is known by SAP.

Hi,

As i mentioned earlier, you need to update your SPAM first.

To download latest version of SPAM, go to

http://service.sap.com/swdc > Download (left pane) > Support Packages & Patches > Entry By Application Group > Additional Components (Right Pane) > SAP spam / saint update > your version.

Download the latest version of the file i.e, SAPKD70033.sar file.

I hope this information will help you in udpate the SPAM first & then you can import the other required SPs.

PS. To download latest version of SPAM you have to use Solution Manager Maintainence Optimizer.
