credit management automatic credit control use of credit group

Hello gurus

1)In the credit management we have credit groups( which enables us to combine different sales

document types for the purposes of credit management).

In the simple credit check also we will assign the doc types to check the credit. Then please tell me why we need credit groups in automatic credit control? Here also we can assign the doc types to check the credit ?then what exactly is the use of credit group ?

2)where will we specify the total credit amount allowed of the credit control area?

3)In the automatic credit control (ova8) against to static check box option we have open orders and open delivers checkboxes. is this two boxes only specific to static or it also belongs to dyanic?

Is it necessary to check this boxes?

4)is any one have used any of the routines in automatic credit control( document controlling tab we have no credit check field here we specify the routine? If any business need please share with me

Thank you in advance for all the replies

You can fine tune your credit checks as per the credit groups...right.......since the combination is CCARisk catgcredit group.

Now you might have different credit check requirements during order creation and delivery and goods issue. Hence, through the assignment of different credit groups to your order type, delivery type etc you can fine tune the type of credit check you want to do at all these stages.

Also....for simple credit check, you cannot assign credit groups.

In FD32, you can assign the total credit limit allowed in one CCA and also across all CCA's put together.

Those boxes are only for Static since Dynamic by definition and internl control, already takes both these into account so you do not have to mention them separately.

We can use requirement in cases where the client does not want to carry out the credit check if the document value is zero (i.e. free of charge), if net value is between 1 - 2000 (just an example), if say there is some reserve indicator set in the sales order etc etc. You can use these requirements to meet some of the wierd logic that your client might have to skip credit checks.

Hi

For your 1st query , In credit mgmt we assign credit grps to sales document type. So as you said we will assign credit grps at simple credit check and coming to the Automatic credit check we assign credit grp for the sales document type also .But the difference is credit grp can be at order level or Delivery Level or PGI level in OVA8 in Automatic credit check .

Coming to your 2nd Query , we will specify the total credit limit in FD32.

For your 3rd query , In OVA8 apart from the static check we check the boxes open orders and open deliveries also because once you activate Automatic credit check and once you maintain credit limit for any customer then system will check the open orders and open deliveries also of that customer

Coming to your last query the routine feild can be used when some requirements have to be fulfilled then only automatic credit check should work for customers. or else the sales order ->delivery->PGI will happen normally

Hi,

1. If you go to OVAK you will find there is four credit check is there. If you give first three means simple credit limit check then your can not use credit group function. If you use credit management automatic then only you can use credit group function.

Credit group helps the system to determine which credit control area should be used for that particular sales document type. We assign credit check and credit group so system should give error or warning mess at the time of creating sales order.

2. Go to FD32 and go to the last page you find credit limit. Over there you can give the credit limit for that particular customer.

3. The check box is for open delivery and open order is used only for static check only not for dynamic check. In dynamic we give horizon period, so system will check all the document with in that period for credit management.

4. I donu2019t have any idea about routine. It might be used when you want some special function should be done while checking for credit management.

Hope so this will clarify your doubt.

Regards

Raj.
