Hi,
Do the following in tcode SCC4, this one will stop creating transport request in Live systems
Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Object
Select No changes allowed
Cross-client Object changes
Select Changes to Repository and cross-client customizing not allowed
Protection: Client copier and comparison tool
Select Protection Level 1: No Overwriting
Save the change and check it again for transport creation.

We dont want to make any changes on Production.
Whatever changes are to be done ...will be first developed in Development Server then tested in QA then only imported to Production.
you said it is possible.... But How???
Thanks

Thanks for the answers.
I tried all the settings in SCC4. Still it asks for the transport request.
I guess there is no way in which a transport request cannot be created in Production Server.
Anyways Thanks ..

Hai,
If you really want to do some actions which are needed for ex., for year end closing - moving the parked Invoices to next year, etc., to acheive this you have to open your Production client.
But in this case you will not need a Transport request to be produced so the settings for the cleint in SCC4 should be like this 'Changes without automatic recording, no Transports allowed' and 'Repository and cross client customising allowed'.
This setting will allow changes but will not create Transport requests in the system.
But normally the Production system client settings should be like this:
'No changes allowed' and 'No changes to Repository and Cross client customising'.

Change the settings in SCC4 for "Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Objects" and since it is production make sure that the Cross-Client Object Changes reflect no changes allowed.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Naveed
