Hello,
I would like to know how to overwrite project number when the project is created directely from the sales order. Up to now, in my system, the project is created automatically in background and i have no chance to change project number manually.
Thanks in advance
Hello,
Just a small clarification required in your case.
You create a SO, maintain all the mandatory enterprise master data at the time of creation.
1. Do you enter a WBS element at that time?
Then you save the SO, and a Sales doc is generated
2. Does the SO number becom the WBS element Identifier?
In case 1, you can edit the Proj def ID as suggested by Mr. Rasam
In case 2, you can not edit the Proj Def ID, as suggested by Mr. Agavekar.
we request your comments of this post as this would enable us in pin-pointed answers (to best of our knowledge).

Hi ,
While creating the standard project definition tick mark the SD/PS assignement in control tab.
This will give u the subwindow where u can change WBS and its description
