Hi All,
While creating projects from DTR, NWDS is throwing the following Exception:
org.eclipse.jdt.core.JavaModelException: File /<Tarck~Application>/.classpath is read-only.
and Task view of NWDS is full of errors with messages like <file name>.java , <name>.gsimpletype
files are read only And class path is incomplete.
As a work around i have unchecked the read only property of .classpath file locally.
Also i tried Repair project structure and class path option but after doing this it has marked lots of files for deletion from DTR.
i am not sure whether this is the right way to fix this issue and what caused this.
Any inputs/suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks & Regards,
Siddharth
Hi
Open your navigator view and select the .classpath file in your project. Right click> Properties. Uncheck the read-only parameter. Right click on your project select DTR>Edit-->Files in the subtree exclusive and then check in the activity.
thanks

hi guys,
I accidentally check-in some .class files....these should not be checked-in...only .java files. Should I delete these from DTR?

Hi Siddharth,
Yes, check-out these generated files using the DTR delete option in an activity & then check-in this activity.

Nitin

Hi,
I noticed few things that some how folders and files in bin,gen,gen_wdp ,gen_ddic,.classpath and .project are checked in into DTR, ideally these files and folders get created locally after DC build as you mentioned in your reply.
So i am planning to delete these files and folders from DTR manually.
let me know your opinion on the same.
Thanks,
Siddharth

Hi Siddarth,
I have the same problem here for w4 application. How did you handle this? I just created the track and could see bin, gen* files in DTR, which is not normal. when i try to create the project in nwds it is throwing me error .classpath file is read only and throwing lot of errors. What did you do in your case. Please let me know.
Will be waiting for your reply,
Thank You,
Hari.
Hi Siddharth,
First, you should never change the read-only file property for any file locally as then you will not be able to submit the changes. You should check-out the file using the option DTR -> Edit.
Second, it is not required to check-in the generated files in DTR (i.e. which are under gen_* folders) as these files get generated when you do build operation.
Also, always check that the local DC build is successful before check-in of the changes in the activity.
Kind Regards,
Nitin

Hi Siddharth,
It happens some times, but you must not change the file properties directly to
read only to false
because then you can not check-in the changes .
Try these options:
1. Try to sync the sources and do changes from the beginning. OR
2. Revert back the changes and delete the activity and create new activity

Siva
