Material Master-Valuation class

Dear Friends,

Depends upon the material type valuation class value is fetched by the system......Can any1 explain how this happens?......where it is assigned?.....whrs the link?.......Thanks in advance......

Hi,

You can find the solution from the following steps:

1. With t-code OMSK,

• Define the account category reference

• Defien valuation class

• Define material type / account category reference

2. Define Attributes of Material Types in IMG>Logistics - General>Material Master>Basic Settings>Material Types, assign the predefined account category reference in the relevant material type, then you can set up the links between material type and valuation class.

Hi

This was rightly said by the other friend

T code OMSK first account category reference is defined

T code OMSK account category reference is linked to valuation class

T code OMSK material type is linked to account category reference

Also in OMS2 we link the account category reference to material type

It is like account category reference linked to valuation class and the same account category reference linked to material type

Hence when thro material type the valuation class is picked because of the link account category reference

Hi saravana

Following the configuration path:

IMG>Materials Management>Valuation and Account Assignment-->Split Valuation without wizard

Here we will be assigning the valuation grp to the plant and give the G/L account also

Check the t.codes .OMWD, ,OMWB where assignment is done. Because of this only the valuation class will come in our MMR ->accounting tab 1
