Permit no in sales order

Dear All,

I had a scenario in which, the Business requirement is to capture the Permit no of the customer, in sales order and that no to be stored in Z table.and this no they will enter in shipment while processing with the shipment doc.

So my requirement is to how to capture the permit no in sales order when i enter the customer the program should go & capture the avialble permit no for that customer and that no i will enter in my shipment process.

So please guide me how to process with this requirement.

What research have you done yourself for this requirement?

There are many options - e.g. create a new Z field; use Licenses in customer master to store the permit number; reuse a standard field, which is otherwise not being used in your system. Trying making at least some effort and then come back with more specific questions. We're not here to do your job for you.
