how to make shipment process mandatory ?

Dear Masters,

Wish you a very safety and successfull year 2009.

I want to make shipment doc creation and shipment cost calculation process mandatory after delivery is created, where can we do the necessary settings (preferably std SAP)?

Hello Mahesh,

I also think this is not a SAP standard functionality, it is optional to include the delivery into a shipment, not mandatory.

I would try to include validation through user-exit, for example, not be able to process goods issue for a delivery if the delivery is not included in a shipment, that would make indeed the shipment mandatory in the business process.

You could fix in sales order type checkbox for creation delivery immediately, then depending of proces flow You could fix automatic PGI in backgroud job using tr. code VL06o.

I don't think it is available in the standard SAP,to make shipment process as mandatory after delivery creation.

You need go for some enhancement with help of ABAPer.

Please let us know if you find any settings in the satndard SAP.
