I need information on IS utlities industries , I now POWER and Water comes under utlities apart from thease any other industries implementing IS utlities package?

M Media Companies

P Public Administration

R Utility company

T Telecommunications

V Insurance company

X In-house development

S Extended FI-CA

Hi There,

IS-Utilities is only used in Powe Generataion/Supplying, Water, Gas companies and Municipal Governments who distributes Utility services to the public in normal.

Some examples:-

1) Power Generation Companies: City Power in South Africa,British Power in the UK

2) Water Companies: Botswana Water and Uk water

3). Municipal Govt..: City of capetown in South Africa and City of Amsterdam in the Nederlands.

IS-U is for any business which has a metering involved to know the usage and billed.

This would mainly include Gas, Electricity and Water. There can be other application as well which can take use of this metering system for invoicing like Automated Toling, Car Parking Lot, etc...
