Dear Friends,

How important it is to assign pricing procedure to value contract?....the reason why am asking is even without maintaining the pricing proc for value contract am able to proceed the documents furthur........so wht significance the pricing proc possess(pertaining to value contract)

Hi,

Contract means agreement with the customer for particular period of time to deliver the goods.So In value contract you will get into agreement with customer upto reach that value of the goods.The pricing procedure is necessary to give correct price to customers based on contract.eventhough you can able to proceed it is best practice to maintain pricing procedure for the contract document.In some situations customer will pay the amount based on agreed price in contract.

Hi,

As you said that the system is allowing you to proceed furthur when executing value contract tough the pricing procedure is not maintained, To allow the system to prompt a message can be controlled using the Incompletion procedure.

Tough you can move furthur the system will not prompt the condition types to be calculated in the billing , so inorder to control the pricing we need to maintain the pricing procedure.
