Hi Friends,

In message mapping editor (Integration Repository), the following icons are disabled.

Dependencies

Text Preview

Data Flow Editor

Whatever the icons in the same row are diabled. What could be the problem ?

What roles we need to attach for the login user to enable this ? Or this is due to some other problem.

Kindly clarify, friends.

Kind Regards,

Jegathees P.

This problem usually occurs when there is problem with installed java version which in case of PI 7.0 should be 1.4.xx. Also check your java webstart is using the correct version.

I didn't uninstall Java 1.6.1. But, I disabled the Check box as you told in Java Web Start (Preferences -> Java -> Disable).

my message mapping shows now dependencies icon enabled and other.

Thank you very much

Hi Praveen & Prateek,

As you told, I have installed Java 2 Run time environment 1.4.2 by download and installed the fle 'j2re-1_4_2_19-windows-i586-p.exe'.

After installed successfully, still in our XI start Page -> Administration --> JDK Version shows version 1.3.

But, now I can see Java Web Start in Start --> Programs --> Java Web Start.

In the Java Web Start --> File --> Preferences --> Java, there are two platform versions are there.

1) 1.6 1.6.0_11 http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se (C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe)

2) 1.4 1.4.2_19 http://java.sun.com/products/autodl/j2se (C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_19\bin\javaw.exe)

Both are enabled.

But, still the dependencies, data flow editor, text preview icons are disabled.

Kindly help me friends, what could be the problem to activate this?

Kind Regards,

HI,

Disable the first one(1.6 1.6.0_11 ), then it will work fine.

Note: Reopen your Integration Builder after installing 1.4.2... then it will show this verison in your IR or ID Help content.

The problem was that you have 1.6 installed on your system. If its not required, uninstall it. For XI 1.4 is sufficient. IN java webstart, only 1.4 should be enabled.

XI start Page -> Administration --> JDK Version shows version 1.3.

This will not change. It is XI system information and not specific to your machine. No need for change there.

Hi,

Uninstall 1.6 version and keep only 1.4 version and try.

Hi ,

Please check how many JVM installed in your machine.

I think more than one JVMs installed in your system,

Please uninstall all JDKs,

install only JDK1.4.13 more version.

Your problem will solve.

Hi,

you need to un-install 1.6 1.6.0_11 version. While starting the Java Webstart it gives the priority for this.

Or Else follow below steps to disable the 1.6 version

1. Start--> Run --> javaws

2. It will open the HJava Application cache viewer -->Edit --> Preferences --> Java Control Panel

3. Goto tab Java --> Java Application Runtime Settings --> View

3. Here you will get the list of Java Runtime versions. Disable the 1.6 and close the window and try to open the integration repository.

Thanks

Hi Prateek,

I don't find any Java Web Start in Start --> Programs --> ...? Where we can find this .

Then, I checked the JDK version in XI Start Page Tools --> Administration . It shows 'jdk.version 1.3'.

If I update through sun.java.com website about jdk 1.4.2 will this problem be solved.

Kindly clarify and help me.

Thanking you.

Go to Start -> Run -> javaws, check it. Install 1.4.2 on your machine and try again.

Hi,

Install the one which was mentioned by Prateek or Myself.

Regarding Java Webstart it comes with the Java Runtime Environment 1.4.2 onwards

check the link for the details:

Hi,

As Prateek said use proper Jave Runtime Environment JRE, preferrably 1.4.13.2.

Note: Don't choose for "Enable Automatic Updates" for JRE when ever it says unless you are using other Java applications.

Praveen
