idoc data in flat file structure

Dear Experts,

We have idoc data in flat file structure. We need to fetch it using ftp and map it to an idoc.

please tell me how to proceed .

If your flat file data is the one which is created with file port in SAP system, then it would be very difficult to map that data into XI. It would be much easier if you could directly use the file port of R/3 to upload the data directly.

For flat file you need to use the File content conversion parameters.
