Hi,
I am getting the following alert from MOM at least once in a week.
SQL Server User Connections > 500
SQLServer:General Statistics: User Connections: value = 503
When i am searching about this, i got the following SQL link. But its not contain how to resolve this or which parameters should be monitor.
[SQL Microsoft link|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc723729.aspx]
You can find another link, here they are telling that It's a bug in the SQL MP and we can ignore.
I didnt got any proper hint to resolve this.
Could you tell me how serious it is and which precautions should be taken?
or really can we ignore this?
Regards,
Nagendra.
This is really not a SAP question... is more about MOM alerts.
Anyhow... The only reason the alert is been triggered is because the threshold for the alert in MOM is been reached... if this is a problem or not pretty much depends on your landscape and the settings of you MSSQL DB... but having 500 or 503 user connections does not represent a thread as long as your environment can handle the load... if thats the case then you can Ignore or change the threshold
Regards
Juan
