How HR costs can be posted to Different WBS Elements.

Option1

on month end you distibute the payroll costs to the respective WBS use the peridic assessment or distribution functionality in CO

Option 2

Manaul journal to the respective WBS - not recommended

Option 3

Use KB21N to allocate costs rom cost centre to WBS

Dear Experts,

Hi

Let me make it more clear.

If there are 5 employees in HR with cost center i-e 0001.

And there are 3 projects created in PS and all having same cost center i-e 0001.

2 Employees are related to project 1.

2 Employees are related to project 2.

and 1 Employee is related with project 3.

Now how to post the cost of HR for these employees to their related Project.

read post above with all options and add Nitin's suggested use of CATS as option 4

In the same cost centre you can have different workcentres and Activity types. Use the combination of these and get the desired results. When these work centres and Activity types are used in conjunction, they can plan resources and costs.

Activity types are independently managed objects under cost centres.

Hi Shahid,

If you are using CATS for recording working time and tasks of your employees, in that case:

you can assign the personnel costs for the working times entered in the time sheet to the receiver object (e.g WBS..) of an activity (t_code: CAT2).

The personnel costs are determined in Payroll. If you enter a confirmation using this scenario, the system does not determine the costs for the activities in Logistics. The receiver object is only debited with the personnel costs. Where you should record data for WBS element as receiver account assignment objects.

Infact we are not using CATS for recording working time and tasks,

is there any other way to post HR costs to WBS Element?

It is totally depends upon you customisation

Normally HR Cost data flows from this table for PS.

CATSDB>CATSCO>COBK

CATSDB>CATSCO>AFRU.

As far as i know, HR cost can be posted to the cost center associated to the project, but not on WBS.
