Hi there,

Factory calendar is very important if you want the planning to take place on particular days. Say for example you want the planned orders to be created only 5 days a week or may be in just Monday and Friday etc.

There are different places where you assign the factory calendar. A time stream, which is also a factory calendar with little more customization, is assigned instead of factory calendar directly.

The primary assignment is in storage bucket profile of the planning area on which you are running the SNP heuristics. if you assign a time stream with 5 days a week then orders are created only 5 days a week in the run. if you do not assign any time stream, the system uses standard SAP calendar ( all 7 work days).

There are numerous places where you can assign a time stream that guides the system:

1. In Location - Production Calendar, Warehouse Calendar, Shipping, Receiving Calendar, Planning Cal. (SPP) etc.

2. In transportation lane - means of transport to guide the days on which the orders/goods need to be received at the target location.

The list goes on....

is this what you are looking for??

Hello ,

The factory calender is used to define the working days and public holidays. With this calender the system can l schedule the relevant planning activities on working days. SAP recommends to create factory calender in APO.

The time stream serves as basis for planning. It can be set up in weekly on monthly periods.

In the time stream , the factory calender is assigned. Also the time stream is created for years in past and years in future.

Thanks & Regards

Hi AF,

I don't find relation between the calendar issue and the transfer of the planned order.

For the transfer issue, please check integration model: Go to SPRO -> Integration with SAP components -> Integration via APO Core Interface (CIF) -> Basic settings for data transfer -> Publication -> Maintain Distribution Definition.

About the calendars, itu2019s important to use same calendar and to maintain them properly; nevertheless, real error would occur when a date is chosen by APO and then, the transfer to R/3 or ERP change it. Delta Report will show error but the transfer should be Ok.

I hope you can solve this issue using Publication types,

Hi AF,

As SNP works on factory calender and Time stream, it is very important to maintain both in APO. The same are being utilised during planning run. The same can be directly maintained in APO orelse can be maintained in R/3 followed by ciffing it to APO.

Hi AF,

You need to CIF planned orders as well as to APO from R/3 by creating an integration model.

Once it is done, planned orders will get transferred to R/3

Hope this helps to resolve your issue. Please confirm
