Is there a parameter that defines the maximum number of processes that a user can run?

Hi,

There is no parameter to define number of work processes a user can use. This is dynamic and whenever a work process is free it is used for the activity. The maximum number of sessions per user is 6. Hope this helps .

For instance, a user like ALEREMOTE can have several dialog and/or background processes running in parallel. Is there a way to limit the number of processes this user can run?

Simple answer No.

Why would you like to limit the amount of processes it can run?...

Hi Jamal,

There is a parameter to restrict number of processes for the user i.e. rdisp/rfc_max_own_used_wp and its max value is 100.

Thanks,

Mano

That only applies to RFC users.

hi,

there are no maximum process per user. There is maximum session per user, by default, it is 6. But you can change it. But usually, SAP Go Live Check would suggest you to reduce it to 2 or 3.
