You can always trace the steps in the tcode SXMB_MONI--->select radio button Process. Here you can click on the Process ID column or the Inbound Column in PE which will display all the BPM steps with their status in tree format you can expand them to check each n every step.
To view it graphically click on the button Graphical Workflow Log.
