Hi,
Where to declare global variable in PI 7.1 as I dint find any icon in PI 7.1 for the same?I want to declare a counter globally.

Hi,
The above bolg states about using the graphical variable. It will be also one way to achieve your requirments.
In PI 7.1 you will have Edit Java Sections tab in message mapping where you could use the global variables.

The blog provided above covers some of the functionality of global variable but its not the exact replacement of global variable. The global variable feature is shifted to Function Libraries -> Predefined Functions and Java Areas -> Attributes and Methods.
