Error while Deleting Customer Master

Dear Friends,

I have a Customer master record, in which not even a single transaction (SD or FI) has been posted till date.

We now want to delete this Customer Master record & I am trying through T-Code OBR2

But I am getting a Error - Reset the number ranges if necessary

Please suggest how to solve this & delete the Custoemr Master.

P.S. I dont want to block the Customer & we want to delete it. Also I have run the program SAPF047 in SE38.

Just have a look in to following SAP Help file, regarding Customer Archiving.

You can decide whether you want to archive all the following areas together or each area separately by making the appropriate settings in the variant.

--> General area

--> Company-code specific (FI-specific) area

--> Sales + distribution-specific (SD-specific) area

Hi

You cannot delete the master data or say customer number from the sap system. instead of that you can make it archive which will remove the customer data selected in the object data base. these objects will be found using the table KNA1 in the T-SARA as others said, so that that data will be saved in different data base and retrieved when ever you want and it will not seen in the main database.

Hi Jignesh,

As for my understanding we can't delete or remove a customer from SAP system instead we can mark deletion indicator (tcode Vd06)/archiving (tcode SARA).

I think OBR2 would only delete FI related data for the customers. I would delete the Company code data for the customer and would not touch the Sales related data.
