remote gui installation in AS/400 (system i )

hi

we are planning to install sap on as/400 operating system which is a iseries machine. can any one tell me any tool available like humming bird for unix to remotely display SAP gui installation for AS/400 also.

please provide details of such tools

Hi Akhil,

I would expect, you are trying to install ECC 6.0?

Then I think, you are not interested in such a tool. You need SAPinst on WINDOWS ! and install the TMKSVR on iSeries - all the rest is handled automatically )

(please read the SAP docu first especially because of updates)

If you should install 7.1 technology as PI 7.1, it would look a bit different ...

Your topic is exactly what I'm facing to. I need to install PI 7.1 on as/400 and seems TMKSVR is not supported in this version. As mentioned in installation guide, is it mandatory to have a third party X window server for sapinst gui? Is there an alternative for that, like remote installation?
