3rd party CAD tool integration

Hi there

I need to integrate SAP DMS capiblities with a 3rd party CAD software, the 3rd party software like Catia V5 or ProE or AutoCAD etc .

Do anyguru has worked on this type of integration?

Help me plz.....

Hi,

Yes, it should be possible.

You can integrate any CAD software to mySAP PLM/mySAP ERP.

Hi Pradeep,

we have integrated all our major CAD systems into SAP/PLM (since 2001). We use the following software:

CATIA V4: CDI for CATIA V4 (on SAP price list - vendor CENIT)

CATIA V5: CDI for CATIA V5 (on SAP price list - vendor CENIT)

Unigraphics: plm++ (on SAP price list - vendor DSC)

Pro/Engineer: Integration for pro/e (on SAP price list - vendor .RIESS)

IDEAS: IEISS (on SAP price list - vedor TESIS)

Medusa: plm++ (vendor DSC)

Hi Pradeep,

Autocad integration can be done using CIDEON software.

Capabilities:

SAP details can be changed from CAD itself using CadDesktop. Similarly details from SAP can also be pushed to CAD using caddesktop.

Licencing:

You need mySAP PLM licence is required. You need to buy Cideon software.

Effort:

Customer exits has to be used for the same.
