Connection between SAP R/3 and SAP XI

Hello,

I'm trying to create a proxy in SAP R/3 for communicating with the CRM system. I have created the Message Interfaces in SAP XI, but when i run the sproxy transaction in SAP R/3 i get the error," No Coneection to Integration Builder."

I have created HTTP destination in SAP R/3 with XI as destination host and path prefix /sap/xi/engine/?type=entry.

When i test this destination i get an error as "ICM_HTTP_Connection_Failed.

Is there anything else to be done when creating the connection between R/3 and XI?

And how can i solve the above error?

Hi,

Can u Test once whether the RFC's are working porperly or not <b>AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER,AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER</b> in XIserver..

Hi Sadasivan

Apart from RFC destination type H,you need to configure local integration engine where you are generating proxy.

Local Integration Engine:

SXMD_ADM->Configuration>Integration Engine Configuration--->Specific Configuration.

Enter the following Parameters:

1.Runtime(Category ),Engine_Type( Parameters ) ,Loc(Current Value)

2.Runtime (Category ),IS_URL( Parameters ) URL of Integration server under Current Value.

Note : make sure that application server where Proxy is generated must me installed on WAS 6.40

yes, i could not have tested with icm issue,

so i have one question for you,,

from business system(r/3), can ping your XI host?, not use local hostfile in business system or your pc.

can ping with hostname? not ip.

Hello Prasad,

I went to Sxmd_Adm and enetered the parameters as u said.

But when i try to enter IS_URL it gives me an error,"No development or Configuration task found."

Sadasivan,

You should apply a patch and do some settings for the PROXY to be active in the application system. Look at this weblog which explains the same.
